The Universe Listens - But What Are You Saying

She has been practicing and believing in the law of abundance and attraction for about 35 years, but she still let doubt intrude into her thoughts.

Even thought she’s a strong advocate of the universal laws, and has seen amazing things happen to herself and others... she’s just like every other human being on this planet. She struggles with trust, faith, gratitude, goals, releasing, detaching and doubt.

All of this is an on-going process for her just like it is for you. She’s forever growing, adapting and examining her life and her beliefs. But like so many of you, she has a tendency to let negative and insidious thoughts invade her mind occasionally.

The Universe Is Always On Your Side

The latest incidence was when she went looking for a part-time job. She had applied to several places on and off-line, but no one was calling her back.

Now, after all these years of experiencing the wonders of the universe, why would she think and feel this way. Maybe a little self-pity, I really don’t know.

But briefly after thinking these negative thoughts, she realized what she was doing and apologized to the universe for having them even cross her mind.

But you and I both know what self-pity can do to you...if you let it.

However, it was like she’d never practiced the Law of Attraction and knew nothing about it. Everything she’d learned seemed to fly out of the window, for all of one day. But still one day too long!

Don’t Blame Someone Else For What You Do

She had to give herself a time-out, and think about what she was doing and examine her feelings. What she discovered was that in her frustration, she needed to blame someone or something for what she wasn’t immediately receiving in her life!

And like everyone else, she also craves instant manifestations sometimes. And sometimes she feels the universe works far too slow. But guess what? She also realizes that regardless how frustrated or upset you get - the universe is still going to work at its own pace. That may be slow, or it may be fast. We have no control over that. All we have control over is what we ask for.

Make The Universe Part Of Your Decision Making

Now, during all of this revelation, she realized that she really hadn’t asked the universe for anything. She hadn’t requested help! She hadn’t put the universe in the equation at all! She was trying to do it on her own, but blaming the universe for not getting results.

Yes, even seasoned practitioners of the law of attraction have brain-fog occasionally!

Why would she expect outstanding results, when she didn’t use the one thing that would guarantee these outstanding results ! Putting her request before the universe and patiently waiting for perfection.

It never fails to surprise me - no matter how old we are...no matter how long we’ve been practicing something...there is always room for learning and improvement.

The Universe Always Responds

Needless to say, after four weeks of filling out applications on and off line, she presented her request to the universe for her perfect job. She listed everything she wanted her job to be. From the hours...to the days... to the atmosphere... to the co-workers... to her working space. She listed it all.

And guess what happen? After two days of making her request and her list...the universe delivered her perfect job!

I’m sure this is a lesson she won’t forget anytime soon. Don’t forget...the universe is listening. All you have to do is ask and you will receive!

You’re Never Too Old Or Educated To Learn

By the way, I’m sure you’ve guessed by now that this is a story about me. I wanted to share this with you so you’ll know that even I get side-tracked with doubt. So don’t worry about falling off the wagon...just get back up - brush yourself off and get back on that wagon.

Because the universe is listening - it’s just waiting for you to ask!

PS. I was led to go to the center and fill out the application instead of doing it on-line. Before I was finished, the manager of human resources came up to me and said she wanted to interview me for the position.

Well, the manager over that position interviewed me instead. She saw where I had run across their ad in Career Builder. She proceeded to tell me that it was a good thing I had came in to fill out the application, because she’d received 150 hits in her e-mail for that position, and she didn’t have a clue how she would have gone through them all. But that now she didn’t have to because she was offering the job to me instead!

Now, does the UNIVERSE ROCK!? Or what!?
