Do we thank God for the prayers that are answered? Do we thank Him for the blessings in our lives? Large or
small, they deserve a thank you!
When we pray, we often ask for so-called adults things... like the safety for our families, health,
wisdom, patience, love, peace, joy. The list can go on and on.
But you know what? We get so wrapped up in our lives, and our prayers, that we forget about the prayers
of our children. Their prayers are trusting, honest, sincere and full of faith - as only an
innocent child's prayer can be.
They are truthful, heartfelt and they know and expect them to be answered. In their innocent minds, the
question is why not?
If only we were all as innocent and trusting as children. There would never be any doubt about anything
being answered!
I asked the children and the adults in my family, what would they like to thank God for; I would like to
share some of there answers. The answers range in age from five years old to sixty-six years young,
and I'm sure you'll be able to tell the children from the adults.
I would like to ...
Thank God for all the neat food we get to eat.
Thank You for letting grandma raise me.
Say thanks for letting me go on vacation. I'm suppose to be grounded all summer.
Thank You for the helping me find a job... after being out of work for 6 months.
Thank God my family came up with the money to send me to college.
Say thanks for all my children and grandchildren.
Say thanks for the financial help I'm getting for my daughter... who has "Downs Syndrom."
Thank God my sister is in college... now I have the house all to myself.
Thank You for returning my family home safely everyday.
Thank You for protecting my family when they are out-and-about.
Thank You for giving us someplace to live.
Thank You for a loving wife and wonderful children.
Thanks for grandma... she let's me do what I want... and she gives me money.
Ask God to stop my sister from coming into my bedroom messing with my clothes.
Say thanks for my navy blue Cadillac CTS... just the car and color I wanted.
Ask God for Patience... when dealing with my children.
Desn't it feel wonderful to thank God? A universal idea that even children believe in! But in closing there
is one more prayer. It's the one I have for my readers.
Whoever you are, and where ever you are. May God protect and prosper you, all the days of your life. May
you have joy, love, peace and health in your life forever. May God be generous with His blessings
and pour His grace upon you. This is my prayer for you.
