When your prayer faith goes missing, you shouldn't beat yourself up. It's something that's happened to
all of us at one time or another.
We know what God promises, but it's still hard when you pray and nothing happens.
You feel frustrated, hurt and alone. You feel as though God isn't listing or didn't hear your prayer.
Then the feelings of being alone take on a new meaning, because now you're thinking that maybe God
doesn't love you, or maybe you're not praying the right way. You've lost your prayer faith.
Loosing Faith During Desperate Times Is Possible
It's also hard when you're in a desperate situation and you pray... then nothing happens. During times
like this it's easy to loose your faith and not pray.
All of these scenarios are possible and probably has happened to some of you.
God Knows The Entire Picture
But through it all... there are still some things to remember. First, God answers prayers in his time--not
ours.
Second, He also knows your situation better than you do... because He can see what's been, what is and
what will be. In other words, God sees the entire picture... not just a small portion of it. Then He answers
your prayer accordingly.
Which is always going to have a better outcome than trying to solve the problem yourself. Third, there
are lessons to be learned.
We may not want to admit it, but sometimes we're not ready for what we're asking for. So it's okay if
your prayer faith goes missing - it will always find it's way back home.
Get Back In The Saddle With Prayer
And it's okay to let God know how you feel. But don't allow yourself the luxury of feeling sorry for
yourself if your prayer isn't answered right away.
Just know that it probably falls into one of the above categories.
Did you know that prayer faith is missing in the strogest of us. So don't worry if it happens to you. Just
hop back on board with your faith in God and continue with your journey.
Side trips will happen occasionally. Just don't linger on them.
It's Okay To Fall - You Just Have To Get Back Up
Besides, I'm sure we've all had some of our prayers answered over the years. Maybe not all of them YET!
But surely some of them.
That let's you know that prayers are answered, and God does hear them. It's just a matter of knowing if
what you're asking for, is right for you... or is it time for what you're asking for.
So just remember, if your prayer faith goes missing - it happens. It happens to all of us, and it will
probably happen to you at some point in your life.
The object is to get back on the horse once you've fallen off. If you wait too long, you may loose your
faith in prayer forever.
