Our Ideas And Feelings About Money
Money Is Not Evil
How did our ideas and feelings about money become so mixed up? Obviously you can't change a person's feelings or ingrained beliefs if they don't want to change. And you shouldn't even try.
Wanting to change has to come from within, and until that happens - all the talking and convincing in the world will NOT change that person's views.
The below comment was made by someone who viewed my video
"Showing Gratitude," that is listed on YouTube. I felt compelled to share this conversation with you for two reasons.
To give you an understanding of how the majority of the
people on this planet feel about wealth and money.
And to have you realize how our ingrained beliefs and our
choices can affect the entire planet.
The Statement Is Below:
you should have just thanked for the steal, metal, protons, neutrons, and all the other elements on the world. Not, the things that was builted by man or created by man by their own ideas because god did not put those thoughts in their mind.
i can list lots of things connected to money and all are negative. only positive things about money is that it can buy people's needs and wants but then again that makes greed inside others more powerful then a normal person with nothing at all.
yes rich and poor was a choice but wonder what it would be like if those were not in the list to pick? yes money does make poverty because with out money people would be growing and making things for one another and not for money or status.
My Response:
The concept behind this video is showing gratitude and being thankful for EVERYTHING we have in our lives. Think about this, where do you suppose ALL our creativity comes from, that's used to create man-made things. It comes from God! I don't pick and choose certain things to be thankful for!? I'm thankful for all there is, and I know God is the creator of everything. His blessings are unlimited...so is my gratitude. Be blessed and have a fruitful life.
Use Money Wisely - It's A Great
Tool
My heart is sadden by the above statement however, because this person doesn't seem to be aware that all of our creative thoughts and abilities to build, manufacture and grow crops comes from a higher source than just our own thoughts and abilities.
This person doesn't seem to understand that all the greatness and beauty on this planet that is man-made, first came as a spark of inspiration from a source that's greater than us!
Yes, man has free-will to make choices, but don't make the mistake of thinking that we function as a totally seperate entity from this higher source. In a more humorous note, look at this way; we make the choices, but God has the last word!
My heart and prayers go out to this person. They have been on my mind since they posted their comment. Not so much because of how they feel, but because this person is not alone in feeling this way.
Realize that money is nothing but a tool. Neither good, bad, evil or negative. It's energy like everything else on this planet and in the universe.
What makes the difference is how we choose to use our FREE-WILL in handling money and any other resource that's been given to us.
In other words - don't blame the resources because of how we have decided to use them. We create and are responsible for our own greed and mis-use of these resources...not the resources themselves. They are totally innocent of our decisions.
When we come to understand this, and put it in perspective, we begin to understand our relationship with this planet... with each other, with the universe and with money.
Our decisions - our FREE WILL, affects us all. More than we realize. Our views... our beliefs... our truths decide how this planet will either succeed or fail.
We must learn to take responsibility for our decisions... Our FREE WILL. We can't continue to blame the resources on this planet for our mis-guided and greedful decisions.
Personally, I think money is wonderful! It's a great tool! And if used wisely and properly, it can do amazing things for yourself and others!
So it's up to each individual to keep money in perspective and not put it above all else.
And to also realize that our ideas and feelings about being wealthy doesn't make us the devil's advocate. We should rejoice in our creativity... rejoice in our world and all its resources - including money! Give thanks for EVERYTHING and give thanks to God for our free-will.
Have You Ever Heard This "Money is the Root of All Evil"
By Claudia Givens
Quote The Bible
Correctly
Have you ever heard this: "Money is the Root of All Evil"? Most of us have heard that the Bible tells us that money is the root of all evil.
Why someone would want to misquote the Bible about money is beyond me but it is done and sometimes on a regular basis. Is it because someone is poor and they are trying to defend their poverty status by making you think the Bible is telling them to be poor? Make sense? NO!! Our world system is set up on the monetary system so to do anything in this life it does take money.
But let's quote the Bible correctly: "The love of money is the root of all evil". It comes from 1 Timothy 6:10 and in the amplified version is says exactly: "For the love of money is a root of all evils; it is through this craving that some have been led astray and have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves through with many acute [mental] pangs."
It is describing a craving; putting money above anything and anyone. We need to keep money in perspective and use it for
good. Money in and of itself is not good or evil.
Money is simply a form of exchange for services, goods and time. It is only when people become attached to their money and become greedy that difficulties arise. With money as a resource, great good can be done in the world. Hungry children can be fed, lands can be preserved for future generations and medical research can be conducted to cure diseases.
Money Can Do Wonderful Things
When I was reading the previously mentioned book about millionaire women, the common thread among them was that they know that money allows them to help others and help themselves. They received great joy in giving to charities.
Think about what you can do with your riches? You may choose to do many wonderful things with money: you can assist others, pay for your children to go to college, donate to your favorite
charities or treat yourself to a well deserved vacation, pay cash for a house or car instead of being in debt for it.
The possibilities are endless. Money is not evil, it can do bad or good...the choice is yours. Allow yourself to dream about all of the wonderful things you will do with your money, and let these dreams drive your success!
