Your mind and your thoughts bascially control the condition of your body. If you think you're ill, then more than likely you will become ill. You've seen people like this, and it's just another aspect of the law of attraction. Attracting What You Focus On... IllnessYou attract what you think about and what you put your emotions into. So if you're constantly thinking and feeling that you are sick, then you can attract the symptoms and truly become ill.The mind-body connection can be seen clearly in cancer patients who have changed their outlook, remain positive, up-lifted and have faith that they will be cured. I have seen this happen to three people that I personally know. This is why - during times of extreme illness - some doctors will tell their patients that they should only be around people who have faith about their recovery. Some Doctors Recognize The Mind-Body ConnectionDr. Bernie Siegel is one such doctor, who had to go through his own trials before he recognized and understood the mind-body connection. It wasn't until then that he could better serve his patients and himself.Dr. Siegel wrote this in his book - Love, Medicine and Miracles... "When a doctor reports amazing improvements in a patient's condition, he or she almost never mentions that person's beliefs and lifestyle, but when I inquire, I find the patient always has made some drastic change toward a more loving and accepting outlook. The patient seldom tells an unreceptive doctor about this, however." Like everything else about the law of attraction, attracting health is possible. When you change your mind about the state of your health, you can drastically change your mind-body connection. And also like the law of attraction, before you can get it to work properly, you have to do some serious releasing of old ideas that don't serve you well. Being positive about your good health is a wonderful start, but in order for your faith about healing to work really well, you need to release all the fears, hates, resentments, and jealousies that are lingering around in your mind. Replacing Negative Thoughts And EmotionsBy releasing all these negative emotions, you can begin to fill your mind, body and heart with the healing emotions of love, forgiveness and understanding. When you do this, you will also see a positive change in your body.I know the difficulty you can face when it comes to releasing these negative emotions... but it will take you looking inward to determine what is being harboured there. If you truly want to live a healthy life, it will take thoughts of goodness and love rather than the negative thoughts we find ourselves clinging to, because true healing begins in our mind.
Dr. Siegel also said, "I find the patient always has made some drastic change toward a more
loving and accepting outlook when true healing takes place."
