Living in abundance is something we all seek, and you're either it already or it's something
you hope to do.
If it is something you hope to do... then how are you going about changing the things in
your life that will ultimately help you to attract abundance? What about your emotions?
What about your relationship with the items you're trying to attract?
Are you working on improving your vibration level to match the vibration level of the desires
you to manifest in your life? There is more to living in abundance than just wishing for it! You
actually have to put forth an effort to achieve abundance, and if you're still living with a
scarcity mentality then it's something that may never happen.
Living in abundance means many things to many people. You need to define what it means to you,
examine your relationship with the things you want in your life, and discover your true feelings
about what you're trying to accomplish.
Attract More Money: 7 Days to Living Abundantly
By Melani Ward
Money is often listed as the top stressor in people’s lives. Many people fear it and think of
it in negative terms. They often view it as a representation of what they cannot have and
rather than focusing on what money they do have, the focus on their lack of it.
Focusing on the fact that you do not have as much as you want, will ensure that you will continue
to have less than you want. If you want to improve your relationship with money, follow
these 7 steps to greater wealth. Seven days to greater wealth.
Day One:
Tell the truth about your money situation. If it is causing you stress because you either have
too much or not enough, acknowledge it. What are your beliefs about money? What is your relationship
to money? What is your greatest problem or difficulty with money right now? What would it mean to
you to have financial success? What does that look like?
How would you know if you achieved it?
How would you be different if you had all the money you could ever want? What is the biggest change
you would like to make in regards to managing your money? Spend some time today answering these
questions and getting a better handle on your relationship to money.
Day Two:
In order to do something about your situation you must believe you have the power to change it
and that money does not have the power over you. Once you have accepted that, identify some goals
you have regarding money and create a plan to achieve them. Make sure your goals are SMART -
specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and tangible.
Determine what it would take to reach them and identify what support systems you have in place
to help you reach them. Decide you are going to get comfortable, if not excited about the topic
of money. Change your perspective and instead of thinking about what you cannot do because you
lack enough, think about how much you have.
Day Three:
Play the "Instant Billionaire Game". Make a list of about 100 things you would want to do, be,
or have if you had a billion dollars. Do not put any limits on your thoughts or ideas. When you
are finished brainstorming, review it and then decide what you really do want.
For example, do
you really want a huge house and all that goes along with keeping it up or would you rather have
a smaller house that feels warm and cozy? Pare down your list to the top 10 things you really want
to do, be, or have in this lifetime.
These are the things that when you look back on your life, you would really regret not having
done. Chances are these are not going to include the accumulation of things. Make sure that all
of your items are in line with your core values. Once you know what you really want, pick one
item and begin working toward it today. You will be happy to learn that once you are clear about
what your needs are and that they rarely involve money, you will want a lot less stuff than you
did before.
Day Four:
Commit to solving your money problems by solving your money problems and not by relying on
some external event to do it for you (i.e. winning the lottery, getting a better paying job).
It is a fact that when people have more money, they spend more money and suddenly they seem
to “need” more things. Ask yourself why you are overspending? If you do not think you are
overspending, then wonder why you are in this situation.
What are your typical money drains?
Evaluate your lifestyle and views about money and determine what is at the root of your
problems. If you do not do this, it won't matter how much money you make or receive, you
will continue to have problems because you have not addressed the real issues.
Day Five:
Do something today that makes you feel like you have control over money. This may include
setting up a savings account where your bank automatically withdraws a certain amount from
your checking and puts it into your savings every month. Go on a money diet for 30 days where
you make no purchases unless they are absolutely necessary.
Bare necessities such as groceries,
medicine, etc. only! See how little you can really get by on and you will be amazed at how
good it makes you feel. You will realize how much more you spend than you really need to
and it will give you a greater sense of control over your money and
what it can do for you.
Day Six:
Decide that your time is valuable and make a vow to earn what you are worth. This is true whether
you work in or outside of the home. If you are a stay at home mom, you deserve some rewards and
let us be honest here, sometimes getting a smile from your baby or a thank you from your 3 year
old is not enough.
If money is tight, you do not have to be paid in dollars - sometimes time is
the greatest gift of all. Do not devalue any of your work. The more valuable you believe your
time is, the more valuable others will see it too.
Day Seven:
Focus on living a life of abundance and believe with every fiber of your being that you deserve
it. Expect to be paid substantially for your work. Expect that your time will be valued. Expect
that you will have everything you want and more. Expect that you have the power and capacity to
create wealth. Then do the work and allow it to come to you. Change the way you view money and
your relationship to it will change.
Commit to making these practices a habit for at least the next 6 weeks. If you want to change,
you must commit to it. Remember, we are getting exactly what we are committed to getting.
