Loosing Sight Of Your Faith

Fear can cripple you to the point where you can't function. Fear can take everything you know and twist it until you can't recognize it anymore.

Fear Can Be Insidious

I've been there. Some fears have always been with you. Some just tend to creep up on you...and leave you wondering where they came from.

My experience with fear came about with the collapse of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge...that connects St. Petersburg, Florida with Manatee County.

Choose Fear Or Faith

Until that time, I had no problem driving over bridges. In fact I enjoyed it very much. But with that incident came the bout with fear.

The fear of driving over bridges terrified and petrified me. This fear was so great--that I thought I would cause an accident whenever I crossed a bridge.

I realized this battle with fear had to come to an end. I also knew the negative side effect of this fear. And I also knew that if I let it...it would only grow to the point where I was too paralyzed to drive over a bridge.

Get Rid Of Fear By Acknowledging It

I had to acknowledge to myself that there was fear...and that it was effecting me mentally and physically. I had to also admit that I couldn't let this negative emotion rule me.

I asked myself, fear or faith? My faith in God (Universe) to protect me and keep me safe was strong. Why was I letting fear take over my life?

God Is Greater Than Fear

Sometimes you can loose sight of your faith. It's your job to remember who protects you and who lovingly keeps you safe. God is greater than fear...so don't let fear control your life.

When I drive over a bridge now...I always remember the battle with fear or faith, but the important thing is that--the fear of driving over bridges no longer rule my life.

Are You Living In Fear Or In Faith

It's now time to ask yourself how are you living your life? If it's in fear...then God can fix that for you. If you're living in faith--then rejoice and give thanks!
