Making a faith declaration after praying is using God's promises and His words to
bolster your faith. You can do this when praying for deliverance from whatever
situation you may be suffering. I have also found it very helpful to use His
promises and words in your prayer.
Do You Know How To Make A Faith Declaration? What To Do After You Pray By Diana Williams
The first part of this article answered the question what to do after praying the
prayer that arouses GOD'S attention to get results. The solution was to make a faith
declaration while you wait. Not only should you make the declaration, but you should
declare it to bolster your faith until your prayer request happens.
The Faith Declaration Reinforces The Confidence...
That if we stand on the word of GOD, we can ask what we will with the conviction of
the authority we have in JESUS' name and see it come to pass.
We know that a faith declaration positions the person praying into a proactive mode
to combat doubt and fear. The dilemma that many may have then is how to actually do
it and what sets faith declarations apart from wishful thinking.
A faith declaration is something you verbalize after prayer in direct conversation
with GOD. You are continuously developing your intimate relationship with GOD and have
the privilege of speaking candidly to HIM when you pray because HE loves you deeply.
The Example Of The Prayer Of Jabez Depicts His Prayer Spoken Straight To GOD
And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, "Oh, that You would bless me indeed,
and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that YOU would keep
me from evil, that I may not cause pain!" So God granted him what he requested. (1 Chronicles 4:10 NKJV)
Making your declaration after you have prayed involves finding the scripture
promise that reinforces your prayer request then applying it directly to your situation.
It is a tangible act of complete trust and the bold conviction that GOD will do exactly
as HE has said. For example, perhaps you are plagued with insomnia and are praying for
GOD'S help against it.
You Know That GOD Has Given You The Authority...
To forbid its torment in your life according to the scripture, "Truly I tell you, whatever
you Forbid and declare to be improper and unlawful on earth must be what is already Forbidden
in heaven, and whatever you permit and declare proper and lawful on earth must be what is
already permitted in heaven." Matthew 18:18, Amplified
Next, look for a scripture promise that deals specifically with sleep. "To the LORD I cry
aloud, and he answers me from his holy hill. Selah. I lie down and sleep; I wake again,
because the LORD sustains me, "Psalm 3: 4-5 NIV
Now that you have found the scripture foundation and promises for your faith declaration,
you can emphatically apply them to your life.
For instance, you can read the following Bible verses and substitute the word you - unless
directed to GOD - with personal pronouns I and me. "Truly YOUR WORD tells me, whatever I
Forbid and declare to be improper and unlawful on earth must be what is already Forbidden
in heaven, and whatever I permit and declare proper and lawful on earth must be what is
already permitted in heaven." Matthew 18:18, Amplified.
Therefore, I forbid insomnia to rob me of sleep and rest any longer! "To YOU, LORD
I cry aloud, and YOU answer me from YOUR holy hill. Selah. I lie down and sleep; I
wake again, because YOU, LORD sustain me, "Psalm 3: 4-5 NIV
This Promise Is Yours To Receive
Your Faith Declaration tells positively what will happen. Your part is to believe
it, then to speak it. You must say it out loud again and again until you know it!
Remember GOD is not inattentive, negligent or slack concerning HIS promises.
YOUR faith declaration is not to remind GOD what HIS word says, HE already knows
the things you have need of. Rather, the faith declaration is for your benefit to
build you up in your most holy faith.
You Have A Perpetual Covenant Of Peace And Prosperity Through JESUS CHRIST
HIS divine power has given you all things that pertain to life and godliness. Learning
to declare GOD'S promises after you have prayed will eradicate doubt about GOD'S desires for you.
Despite how things may appear, know that GOD is working behind the scenes causing
things to come together for your good. In the case of the person praying for deliverance
from insomnia, speaking the declaration while lying awake during a period of
sleeplessness will cause him or her to recognize that he or she is not facing
the problem alone, but there may be other promises that should be included in
the faith declaration.
If the sleepless person lays awake combating anger, anxiety, depression, fear,
frustration, grief, guilt, lack, sickness or other problems; these must be addressed
in prayer also. The sleepless person has the authority to forbid these things as well
and the same process covered earlier of finding specific promises must be used.
Do Not Merely Read The Promises In The Bible
Meditate upon them, commit them to memory and believe that they are yours to possess.
Your prayers will be answered and your life can turn around supernaturally to bring
blessings and miraculous success in all you do.
Start and end each day with your faith declarations and begin to create the wonderful
life that you are destined for!
