Divine Creativity And Divine Ideas Equals A Closeness To God?
Understanding Divine Creativity - Divine Ideas - And Tithing
Divine creativity and divine ideas comes from a closeness to the Source or God, and it would
seem more of us should be walking in abundance and enjoying life to the fullness. So why
aren't we? Does it mean we need to develope more of a relationship with God?
Creativity - The Missing Link to Godly Wealth and Riches
By Perry Mallory
As a result, Jacob's flocks increased rapidly, and he became very wealthy, with many servants,
camels, and donkeys. --Gen. 30:43
I once read a well-meaning author summarize the top 7 ways for someone to become wealthy
today. He said that you either have to 1. inherit it; 2. marry it; 3. work for it; 4. win it; 5. steal
it or deal it; 6. gamble for it or 7. invest for it. But God, in His Word, tells us that He is trying to
get us (the believer) to come up and live the "high life." He is trying to move us into a wealthy
place. The Word of God tells us that Jesus came that we may enjoy life, and have it in
abundance (to the full, till it overflows). John 10:10 AMP.
But this raises a huge question. Why aren't a lot of Believer's enjoying
life?
Why aren't we walking in the abundance? Abraham had an abundance. Isaac had an abundance.
Jacob had an abundance. So why can't you enjoy an abundance? God made a pact with
Grand-pop Abraham that He would bless his seed.
Everything that would flow from his loins would be blessed. And Galatians 3:29 tells us that we
are indeed eligible:If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to
the promise. So now that we agree that we are eligible, how does God make His people
wealthy, prosperous or rich? Through divine creativity!
By definition, divine creativity is the ability or power to create. God is creativity. And since God wants
us to strive to cultivate Christ-like characteristics, we are called to reflect God's creative
attributes.
Staying Connected
What then, can we do to experience a greater release of divine creativity through our own
lives? Insights are provided in the gospel of John, where Jesus Christ said, "I am the Vine; you
are the branches. He that abides in Me, and I in him, the same will bring forth much fruit."
Divine creativity - like all of God's characteristics - grows in proportion to our "connectedness"
to Him. If we want to be more creative, we must draw closer to God. We are destined to
express divine creativity. But how? Is divine creativity an end in itself? Or is divine creativity a means to an
end?
For we are God's own handiwork, (His workmanship)...that we might do those good works
which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us...(Eph. 2:10).
This Bible verse reveals that God created each of us for a
purpose
DivineCreativity is one of the gifts God has given us to achieve that purpose. Until we discover
our own unique purpose, we will often be pestered by the question, "What am I to do with my
life, why and how?
As a hint, in Deuteronomy 8:18, the Scriptures make reference to God, when it says that it is
He Who gives you power (ability) to get wealth. In other words, God gives us the divine
creativity, strategies and divine ideas to get the necessary wealth in our lives.
In the case of Jacob, the Scripture above says that Jacob became very wealthy. But how? He
didn't inherit it, (even though his dad was a billionaire); marry it; work for it; win it; steal it or
deal it; gamble for it or even invest in the Stock Market for it. But with God's help, he created it.
Although Jacob was working under a dishonest and conniving boss, Uncle Laban, he was
connected with God's source of creative ideas. As Jacob was recounting how he became so
blessed, he told Laban's daughter, Rachel and Leah, that even though their father had deceived
him and changed his wages ten times, God protected him and gave him a divine strategy to
come out of his dilemma. In fact, God (in the form of an Angel) visited him in a dream and gave
him the blueprint for success. (See Gen. 31:11)
Opening the Windows of Heaven
There have been days working in ministry where I find myself fleeing from non-creative people
to prevent them from killing my ideas and vision. One of the hard truths that I have come to
grips with while serving in the local church is that creative people and great ideas are in short
supply. I am not just talking about people who are artistic but people who have fresh ideas,
new insights and like blazing trails. And I believe that one of the main reasons why this is the
case is because of how many relate to the tithe. You probably say, what does tithing have to
do with creativity? EVERYTHING!
Malachi 3:10 tells us that when we bring tithes to the storehouse (the local church where we
are fed), that God would open the windows of Heaven and pour us out a blessing. Most people
believe that the phrase pour you out a blessing means that the Lord is going to give you the
things you need. So tithers think that they will go to sleep one night and the next morning they
would awake and all that they were believing God for would manifest in their life, home or bank
account. But that is not true. The Greek mentality (Western culture) thinks that pour out a
blessing means the finished product. However, the Hebraic mindset is different.
In Hebrew, there are two words for blessing: baruch and barucha. Baruch is the finished
product, the thing you're looking for; whereas barucha is what you say over your food before
you eat (a blessing) or a benediction. In Latin, benediction comes from two words, bene -
good, diction - words. Together they mean good words. So now we see that the prophet
Malachi was conveying a different message from God than we have expected.
In Hebrew, Malachi 3:10 means that God was saying something else: "If you bring all the tithes
into My storehouse, I will then open up the windows of Heaven and pour through that window a
flow of good words." In other words, God has been promising us that when we consistently
tithe, we are to expect the windows of Heaven to be opened and He will then pour out a flow
(an ongoing continuous bombardment) of words (creative ideas, witty inventions, strategies,
solutions, etc.) or barucha!
God has promised us divine creativity
Our tithe keeps us connected to God. Consistent tithing believers should be some of the most
creative people on earth. That is a great deal. When I pay my tithes (take the first 1/10th or
10% of everything that comes into my life to increase me) God speaks back to me with
creative ideas, strategies and thoughts. I am inventive because I tithe. I am creative, because I
tithe. I receive strategies from God to be victorious, because I tithe. I must tithe, so that the
windows of Heaven remain open over my life, so I can hear Him when he speaks.
I believe that there are some real good Christians in the earth. But many times it seems that
God is talking or answering back when you pray. But like in the natural, it is easier to hear a
voice when a window is opened versus shut. A window does two things: it lets in light and fresh
air. This speaks of fresh revelation." We need our windows opened. God says, prove Me. See
won't this work.
The Bible says that when God got finished giving Jacob a strategy to defeat the oppression and
trickery of Laban, that Jacob increased and became exceedingly rich. If He did for Jacob, He'll
do it for you.
