Your Prayers Are Heard Before You Speak Them

I know I'm always talking about praying and having faith that your prayers will be answered. But reading about someone who has actually had an answered prayer is totally different than reading about the process.

A few years ago, my old reliable car of 15 years gave out on me. At that time I was still working and couldn't go very long without transportation.

Friends Are A Blessing

I had to drive about 25 miles each day going and coming, so the need for a car was very necessary. A friend I had worked with for twenty-five years was willing to pick me up every morning and drop me off every evening. And this was extremely generous of her.

But the problem with that was her having to come from another city, out of her way, to pick me up. Our job was south, she lived south...but she had to come north to pick me up.

Like I said, this was very generous of her, but what an inconvience. This lasted for 5 days. But during that time I checked all the papers, and looked on-line to see what was out there. Remember, my car was 15 years old when it died on me, and I really wasn't prepared to go car shopping.

My car died on Friday. That weekend I went over my budget to get an idea about what I could afford to spend. That Monday morning, I looked at the newspaper and immediately became overwhelmed.

I Decided It Was Time To Pray

It was a very simple prayer, nothing fancy. And before I even started, I knew in my heart that it was an answered prayer. It went something like this:

Very simple and heart felt. An answered prayer! God knows exactly what we need, and when we need it.

For the rest of the week, I continued to look at the newspapers and check on-line. On Thursday of that same week, I spotted a car in the newspaper that popped out at me. I took a closer look and noticed it was a 2002 buick century--and the color was listed as red.

Don't Be Blind To Answered Prayers

This was a good thing. A very good thing. But I wasn't sure about driving a red car...and besides that, it had 13,000 miles, but was listed at $10,000 dollars.

I asked my supervisor if he thought something was wrong with it? He told me to go check it out, that maybe nothing was wrong. My response was, "Yeah, right!"

It's True - Ask And You Will Receive

That Saturday I went car shopping. A relative drove me all around another city, looking at cars. Neither of us saw anything we liked, and I was about to give up when I remembered the Buick in the newspaper. So we decided to take a look at it before going home.

When we pulled into the car lot...a salesman was there before I could get out of the car. He politely asked if he could help us. I told him about the Buick I had seen--that was listed for $10,000 dollars. He told me the car was listed at $13,000 dollars. I told him it wasn't. He showed me his list, and there it was. A 2002 Buick Century; color red.

God Does Work In Mysterious Ways!

When I saw the car, my relative and I looked at each other and said, "This is it! This is my car! This is exactly what I wanted! And it's burgundy, not red! The only problem, it was listed at $13,000 dollars.

So I showed the salesman the newspaper that had come out that Thursday...with the car listed at $10,000 dollars. All he did was shake his head and laugh. Of course he went on about what a fantastic deal I was getting, because they would have to sell me the car at the price listed in the paper.

Events Were Set In Motion For My Car

Apparently, their sales manager made a mistake that Wednesday, when he listed the price of the car...for the newspaper that came out on Thursday.

Now how is that for an answered prayer? All the salesmen came by telling me what a good deal I had on this car. That I was very lucky. I told them no, I was very blessed!

A 2002 burgundy, Buick Century...with 13,000 miles...in excellent condition...one owner and listed at $10,000 dollars.

Miracles Do Happen!

God does answer prayers! He sends you what you need...when you need it! An answered prayer is a miracle. Taking that leap of faith--or blind faith...to trust God to deliver what you need is a big step.

But it's a step worth taking. Having an answered prayer gives you hope, joy and faith for things to come.

I know there are some of you that have experienced the same. So you know the feeling I'm talking about. I don't care how many times I have an answered prayer...I'm always in awe of the love and generousity of God.

The Power Of Prayer Is Awe Inspiring!!

The power of prayer is beyond anything on this planet, or in this universe. It lives, it's real and it's ours.

Having an answered prayer is something we all want and need. But if you don't ask, how will God be able to answer?

When I told my friends about my answered prayer miracle--they all thought it was wonderful and amazing how God works in our lives. And it's true. It is wonderful and amazing!

I want all of you to keep faith while waiting for your own answered prayer. It does happen, as you can see. Sometimes it takes a little longer. And like I've said before, if you're not ready for what you're asking, it may take much longer. But don't give up.

When You're Ready, Your Answered Prayer Will Happen

This was just one answered prayer, but trust me. I've had many of them. Some where answered on the same day. Some took months. Some took years. Many, many years.

The answered prayer for my house took 30 years. And that's another article...but I can see now that I was not ready in my twenties, thirties or fourties.

Have Faith In God To Know What Is Best

At the time I couldn't understand, but now I can see that God knew best. So when it comes to an answered prayer, trust in that!

There's truth in the saying, "Father knows best!"
